Hello...

I'm Andrea. Certified Divorce Coach & Founder of Divorcing Forward Coaching & Consulting.

I started Divorcing Forward because I know firsthand how overwhelming, confusing, and emotionally draining divorce can be — especially when you’re trying to hold it all together while your life feels like it’s falling apart.

About 10 years ago, after 18 years of marriage, I went through my own contentious divorce. I remember constantly questioning myself…

Am I making the right legal and financial decisions? Am I doing what’s best for my daughter? Will I ever feel like myself again?

It was hard to see a way forward through all the uncertainty. I was reacting from survival mode instead of making careful, well-informed decisions. I didn’t just need legal advice,I needed someone who could help me process what was happening, find clarity, and take smart, empowered steps through one of the most difficult seasons of my life, especially when it came to the logistics, the finances and business decisions of divorce.

I made a lot of mistakes because I didn't know what I didn't know. In hindsight and knowing what I know now, I relied too heavily on my attorney and didn't know how to educate myself or know to consult other divorce professionals. I didn't know what to anticipate and how to advocate for myself. I couldn't see the big picture beyond getting through the divorce. It left me picking up the pieces for years to follow.

That’s why I created Divorcing Forward — to be the support system I didn’t have, and to help you navigate this process with clarity, confidence, and strategy. And, most importantly, to protect your peace, your finances and your future.

Welcome to Divorcing Forward. I'm so glad you're here.

This coaching journey is all about you. You’re facing a chapter you never expected and trying to hold it all together while everything around you shifts. You’re not just navigating legal and financial decisions, you’re grieving, managing emotions, supporting your kids, and trying to figure out who you are on the other side of all this. You don’t want to just survive this divorce. You want to be financially secure and rebuild on your terms. That’s exactly what this coaching experience was created to help you do.This program was designed to support you through every stage of the divorce process in a way that feels empowering, grounded, and intentional.

We’ll walk through the core pillars that cover everything from strategically preparing for divorce, managing tough emotions, and setting clear goals for your future, to understanding how to divide assets, co-parent with confidence, protecting your finances and building a stable future after divorce. Think of this as your roadmap with tools, support, and guidance every step of the way.

While the 7 pillars offer a solid framework, this isn’t a rigid step-by-step plan. Every story and path is different, and your coaching experience will be completely tailored to fit your needs, your timing, and your priorities. We’ll focus on the areas that are most relevant to you—whether that’s emotional healing, clarity around decisions, preparing for mediation and court hearings or planning for your future. There’s no right or wrong way to move through this, just steady support as you take control of your next chapter.

This is where we set the foundation. You’ll begin to take back control of your life—by learning your legal and emotional options, organizing your world, and preparing for what’s ahead with clarity and confidence.

  • We cover how to know if you’re truly ready—so you stop second-guessing and start moving forward.

  • You’ll explore the different ways to divorce (litigation, mediation, collaboration, DIY)—so you can make empowered, informed decisions that fit your values and circumstances.

  • Learn how to choose the right legal and financial professionals—so you can build a team that supports your goals, not someone else's agenda.

  • Learn how to protect your privacy and digital life—so your energy isn’t drained by digital drama or unexpected breaches.

Divorce shakes your foundation—and this is where we start rebuilding it from the inside out. Through this work, you’ll start healing, honoring your emotions, and learning to regulate them—so you can move through the chaos without losing yourself in it.

  • Learn how to protect your child’s emotional safety while modeling emotional intelligence and resilience.

This is about protecting your future—not just financially, but emotionally and energetically. Here, you’ll gain the clarity and strategy you need to make smart, empowered decisions around money, property, and long-term stability.

  • Learn what might be considered in asset division—so you can walk into financial discussions with clarity and confidence.

  • Get organized with the key documents and financial details needed for your affidavit—so nothing catches you off guard.

  • Evaluate options for the marital home (sell, refi, equity buyout)—with strategy, not stress.

Divorce is often a crash course in boundary-setting—and in this phase, you’ll learn how to draw strong lines in the sand without guilt or shame. You’ll gain the language, tools, and confidence to communicate clearly and protect your peace.

  • Learn what healthy boundaries actually look like—and how to enforce them with strength and grace.

  • Use conversation scripts for difficult moments—so you don’t freeze, rage, or regret.

  • Master tools like CIC (Concise, Informative, Civil) and BIFF (Brief, Informative, Friendly, Firm)—so you can keep communication brief, respectful, and effective.

  • Learn how to respond (or not) to toxic people and situations —without getting emotionally hooked.

  • Identify and shift out of old communication patterns—so your past doesn’t repeat itself in your future.

  • Learn how to say no—without over-explaining or over-apologizing.

  • Start protecting your peace like it’s your most valuable asset—because it is.

This is where you start rediscovering the woman underneath the wife. You’ve carried roles and responsibilities for so long—now it’s time to reconnect to your voice, your desires, and your sense of self.

  • Explore “Who am I without this marriage?”—and begin crafting your new identity with intention.

  • Learn how to navigate single parenting—so it feels manageable, not isolating.

  • Heal the inner critic that keeps replaying your “shoulds” and “failures”—and start writing a more empowering narrative.

  • Explore friendships, dating, and intimacy again—on your own timeline, and on your own terms.

  • Rebuild your confidence step by step—so you feel proud of the person staring back at you in the mirror.

This final stage is about vision, alignment, and becoming. Now that you’ve done the deep work, it’s time to rise—and build a life that reflects your truth, your values, and your deepest desires.

  • Design a vision for your future that excites you—and feels fully yours.

  • Set boundaries that protect your peace and support your goals.

  • Build daily routines and rituals that light you up—and reflect who you’re becoming.

  • Create support systems that align with your next-level self—not just your past life.

  • Set purpose-driven goals that inspire fulfillment—not just productivity.

  • And most of all: celebrate how far you’ve come. You didn’t just survive—you transformed.
